Five-time Grammy nominee Davido and fast-rising Afrobeats star Chella have earned spots on Spotify’s official 2025 Summer Anthems playlist.
The streaming giant selected Davido’s hit single With You (featuring Omah Lay) and Chella’s viral track My Darling as part of its seasonal lineup, alongside other global hits including Ghanaian artist Moliy’s Shake It To The Max.
The playlist also features Alex Warren’s TikTok sensation Ordinary, Charli XCX’s Party 4 U, and Drake & PartyNextDoor’s Nokia—a track many predict will dominate the summer.
Chella’s My Darling has captivated audiences with its fusion of Highlife melodies and witty, comedic lyricism, particularly gaining traction on TikTok. Meanwhile, Davido’s With You—a standout from his fifth album 5ive—achieved massive commercial success, breaking streaming records and reinforcing his position as the artist with the most consecutive No. 1 hits on Nigeria’s premier music chart.
