Senator Natasha accuses Akpabio of sexual harassment

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has alleged that her troubles in the Senate stem from her refusal to accept sexual advances from Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Akpoti-Uduaghan made this claim during an interview with Arise TV on Friday, likening her experience to that of a student facing victimisation from a lecturer.

“Mine is the case of a student being punished by a lecturer for refusing to sleep with him,” she said.

Her allegation comes days after a heated exchange with Akpabio on the Senate floor over a change in seating arrangements.

The disagreement escalated on February 20 when Akpoti-Uduaghan refused to comply after her seat was reassigned at the start of plenary.
