The 2023 presidential flag bearer under the Labour Party, Peter Obi, said that the nation is gradually sinking like the Titanic.
He explained that only poor Nigerians are fighting for survival while the rich keep dancing.
The former Governor of Anambra State stated this on Sunday night while speaking on a Twitter space interaction, Parallel Facts.
Obi likened the nation to a sinking Titanic where only the rich are dancing while the poor ones fight for survival, adding that the country needs to shift from consumption to product to revive the nation.
According to Obi, “Nigeria is a sinking Titanic, only the rich are dancing! The poor are fighting for survival.”
While deliberating on the internal crisis in the country, he explained that the ethnic division in Nigeria is strictly due to transactional politics.
He added, “The ethnic division in Nigeria is strictly due to transactional Politics. All countries of the world are divided, but you have to move from consumption to production so that people’s hard work & talents can match their opportunities.”
He opined that if the country shuns the politics of sharing and engages in production, then more Nigerians will become richer.
