World Cup: Toronto distributes free soccer-themed condoms to curb STDs

Toronto Public Health in Canada has launched a new sexual health campaign ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, distributing free soccer-themed condoms under its “CondomTO” initiative to promote safer sex and reduce the transmission of sexually transmitted infections.

Toronto is scheduled to host six matches during the tournament, including a Round of 32 fixture, as part of the 2026 World Cup jointly organized by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The condoms and other safer sex supplies are being made available at no cost at Toronto Public Health’s four sexual health clinics, as well as through community partner locations, while supplies last.

The limited-edition packaging comes in six soccer-themed designs, including one called “Peaches & Cream,” which features peach and eggplant imagery.

This is not the first time the city’s public health authorities have rolled out special-edition condoms for a major sporting event, having done the same during the 2015 Pan American and ParaPan American Games.
