Wolverhampton Wanderers have officially announced the signing of Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare, from Belgian side Genk in a deal worth around £24 million (€27 million), bolstering their Premier League attack ahead of the new season.
The 24-year-old forward has agreed to a four-year contract with Wolves, including an option for an additional year, following a successful medical and completion of personal terms, according to the club’s official website.
Standing at an imposing 6’6”, Arokodare arrives at Molineux after a stellar campaign in Belgium, scoring 22 goals and contributing seven assists last season.
His impressive form has made him one of Europe’s most highly sought-after forwards this summer.
Reflecting on his departure from Genk, Arokodare took to social media to thank the club and its supporters.
“After two years with this club and amazing fans, it’s time for me to take the next step in my career. I want to thank every single teammate, coach, and supporter who has been with me on this journey. The city of Genk will always hold a special place in my heart,” he said.
Wolves hope the striker’s arrival will provide competition and cover alongside Jorgen Strand Larsen, strengthening their attacking options as they aim to climb the Premier League table.
For Arokodare, the move represents a significant milestone as he seeks to establish himself in one of football’s most competitive leagues and help Wolves achieve their campaign objectives.
The club and player are now preparing for his debut, with supporters eagerly anticipating the Super Eagles star’s first appearance for Wolves following the international break.
Arokodare is also part of Nigeria’s 23-man squad, named by Eric Chelle, as the Super Eagles target a resurgence in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign against Rwanda and South Africa.
