Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly abandoned their pursuit of Getafe midfielder Christantus Uche.
The Premier League outfit had tabled a €20m bid for the Nigerian international but have now turned their attention elsewhere after stumbling into difficulties on the player’s side.
Transfer expert Ben Jacobs confirmed the development in an update on his X account.
“Christantus Uche’s move to Wolves is off as it stands,” Jacobs revealed. “Wolves have decided to move on to other targets having put an internal deadline on finalising the move.
“Complications on the player side delayed the deal and Wolves have decided to explore other options.”
Uche, 22, has made a bright start to the season with Getafe, notching one goal and one assist in just two La Liga appearances. He only joined the Spanish club from Ceuta last summer.
