Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has thrown his weight behind Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term as the helmsman of Lagos State.
This was revealed by Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, in a terse statement on Tuesday.
“Breaking: Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike endorses Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the second term in office. Details later,” Akosile wrote.
This development comes amid the anti-party allegations levied against Wike who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Currently, the PDP has fielded Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor as its governorship candidate in the 2023 governorship election in Lagos State.
