The Kaduna State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. Caleb Ma’aji, has urged Nigerians to cultivate a spirit of gratitude towards God in order to experience more of His blessings.
Rev. Ma’aji emphasized the importance of appreciation not only to God but also to leaders at all levels, national, state, and local, stating that such recognition is vital for the country’s progress.
“The country is full of God’s blessings, be it human and material resources. As a result, Nigerians have no reason whatsoever not to give thanks to the Almighty for all that we are blessed with,” he stated.
He made these remarks on Sunday during the mid-year harvest thanksgiving service of the Evangelical Church Winning All, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.
His sermon focused on the theme, “Why do we need to thank God as Christians?”
During his address, Ma’aji reminded Christians to remain grateful for the gift of life and the numerous blessings they receive, often without realizing it.
“Some people remain the way they are because they are not thankful to their creator and many unforeseen things He is doing to them,” he noted.
He further stressed that Christians should continually express gratitude to God for the preservation of life and the divine provisions in their journey.
According to him, living with a thankful heart also encourages contentment, which he described as essential to enjoying God’s will and leading a peaceful life.
