Why Luis Diaz was left out Liverpool squad – Slot

Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has confirmed that Colombian winger Luis Diaz could be on his way out of Anfield this summer, as transfer rumours continue to swirl.

Diaz, who was absent during Liverpool’s recent 4-2 defeat to AC Milan in Singapore, has attracted strong interest from European giants, with Bayern Munich now joining earlier suitors Barcelona in pursuit of the 27-year-old.

The winger himself has admitted he’s weighing up his future, further fueling speculation over a potential move before the transfer window closes.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Slot made it clear that Diaz is currently not part of his immediate plans for the upcoming Premier League campaign.

“He’s training really well with us, but for now we’ve decided not to play him yet. I’m used to speaking regularly with most of my players,” Slot explained.

“As I said, Lucho is training very well, and we’ve decided he won’t play for the moment. Was he excluded because of the speculation about his future? Yes, but I can’t comment much more on that.”

With Diaz’s future up in the air, Liverpool fans may soon witness the departure of one of their key attacking options.
