Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen are reportedly looking to bolster their attacking options by signing Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Sky Sports journalist, Florian Plettenberg, Bremen have already opened discussions with Leverkusen to finalize the deal.

Boniface had been linked with a move to AC Milan last week, but the Serie A giants withdrew interest due to concerns over his fitness.

The Nigerian forward also missed Leverkusen’s matchday squad last weekend, despite having returned to training earlier in the week.

Leverkusen appear willing to let Boniface leave, either on loan or via a permanent transfer.

Bremen, meanwhile, are keen to strengthen their attack following a slow start to the season, having failed to win any of their first three matches across all competitions.
