The Amavubi of Rwanda have touched down in Uyo ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Head coach Adel Amrouche and his contingent first arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Tuesday night before boarding a connecting flight to Uyo.
The travelling party consists of 20 players, alongside members of the technical crew and officials of the Rwanda Football Association.
Notably, Phanuel Kavita, Bonheur Mugisha, Jojea Kwizera, and Clement Buhake are expected to join the squad directly in Uyo.
Later tonight, the Amavubi are scheduled to hold their first training session at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Rwanda currently sit second in Group C of the qualifiers with eight points from six matches.
Their clash with Nigeria comes up on Saturday in a matchday seven showdown.
