W’Cup: Australia edge Tunisia 1-0, target knockout round

Australia, on Saturday, defeated their group counterpart, Tunisia, 1-0, to keep their hopes alive of reaching the World Cup knockout phase.

 

The Socceroos, who would have gone out with a second successive defeat, scored their only goal through Mitchell Duke’s 23rd-minute header.

 

After their victory, Australia clinched three points to come second in group D behind France.
