The draw ceremony for the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League has been postponed, with a new date set for Tuesday, August 5.

Originally slated for July 29, the event will now take place a week later.

This year’s tournament, which doubles as the qualifying round for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League, will be hosted once again by Côte d’Ivoire, marking the West African nation’s second consecutive year as host.

Nigeria’s representatives, Bayelsa Queens, who recently clinched the Nigeria Women Football League title, will be aiming to etch their name in history as the first Nigerian team to win the regional tournament twice.

The Prosperity Girls first tasted glory in 2022.

Edo Queens, champions of the 2024 edition, will not be defending their title this time around.

The competition will feature a total of eight clubs: Bayelsa Queens (Nigeria), ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire), AS GNN (Niger), USFA (Burkina Faso), ASKO (Togo), Sam Nelly (Benin Republic), Ghana Police Ladies (Ghana), and the host nation’s champions.

All eyes will be on the draw to see how the group stage shapes up for what promises to be a fiercely contested tournament.
