Nigerian referee Yemisi Akintoye has been appointed to officiate the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final between Algeria and Malawi on Wednesday.
The last-four clash is scheduled to take place at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with Akintoye set to take charge of her second match at the tournament.
The Nigerian official previously handled the Group A encounter between Senegal and Kenya at the same venue on Thursday, July 30.
Akintoye, who is making her debut at Africa’s premier women’s football competition, was also part of the officiating team for the tournament’s opening fixture between Algeria and Kenya, where she served as the fourth official.
Meanwhile, Togolese referee Vincentia Enyonam has been selected to officiate the other semi-final involving hosts Morocco and Cameroon at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
The two semi-final fixtures will determine the teams that will contest the final of the 2026 WAFCON.
