The Black Queens of Ghana stormed into the knockout phase of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Cup of Nations Morocco 2024 with a dominant second-half display that earned them a 4–1 win over Tanzania on Monday evening.

Ghana took control early on, opening the scoring in the 12th minute as Princella Adubea calmly slotted home from the centre of the box, rewarding her side’s early pressure.

Tanzania, however, showed great spirit and found a way back into the match just before halftime.

Stumai Athumani capitalized on a well-placed header from Enekia Lunyamila to level things at 1–1 heading into the break.

Fired up for the second half, the Black Queens surged forward and regained their advantage in the 63rd minute. Alice Kusi made no mistake from the penalty spot after Princess Marfo was fouled inside the area.

From there, Ghana took full control. Evelyn Badu added the third in the 87th minute, poking in from close range after a set-piece caused chaos in the Tanzanian box.

In stoppage time, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah completed the rout with a clinical finish at the end of a blistering counterattack, sealing a commanding 4–1 victory for the West African giants.

Despite Tanzania’s spirited effort, Ghana’s relentless pressure and sharp finishing proved decisive as they marched confidently into the next stage of the tournament.
