VIDEO: Osimhen draws massive crowd during Lagos visit

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, sparked chaotic scenes in Ojota, Lagos, after his presence in the area attracted a huge crowd of admirers, The Punch reports.

Videos shared across social media platforms showed hundreds of fans rushing to catch a glimpse of the Nigerian forward, surrounding his vehicle and bringing traffic to a standstill as they chanted his name and recorded the moment on their phones.

The crowd grew so large that movement became nearly impossible, forcing Osimhen to step out of his Lamborghini and personally appeal for calm.

The striker was seen interacting with supporters as he tried to ease the situation and create a path for his vehicle.

The dramatic reception highlighted the immense popularity the 27-year-old enjoys among Nigerian football fans, with excitement around him remaining high amid ongoing uncertainty over his next club destination.

Osimhen continues to attract attention from top European sides, although Galatasaray have maintained that they are unwilling to part with the prolific attacker during the current transfer window.

The Turkish giants, who retained the Super Lig crown last season with Osimhen playing a key role, benefited from his return of 22 goals and eight assists in all competitions.

Reports indicate Galatasaray turned down a €120m offer from an unnamed European club and have placed a €150m valuation on the Nigeria international.

Club president Dursun Ozbek, speaking through Turkish football analyst Nevzat Dindar, reiterated that Galatasaray would only consider a transfer if their asking price is fully met and Osimhen expresses a desire to leave — circumstances that have yet to materialise.
