VIDEO: Ojude Oba returns after two-year break

The Ijebu Igbo people of Ogun State held their first Ojude Oba Festival on Monday, July 11, after a two-year break forced by the coronavirus pandemic.

Hosted by the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, this year’s edition has Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State as its guest of honour.

Dressed in colourful Yoruba traditional wear, the guests would be entertained by popular veteran Apala singer, Haruna Ishola, as well as Fuji musician, Obesere. and singer Teni Makanaki.

This year’s festival begins with the Ojude Oba Day Parade at the Awujale’s Pavilion before the music concert at the Equity Resort, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
