Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, widely known as Odumodublvck, added a dose of humour and showmanship to the build-up for Tuesday night’s Africa Cup of Nations semifinal between Nigeria and Morocco, using the stage to playfully plead Nigeria’s case.
The artiste was one of the headline performers at the AFCON Fan Zone, where fans from different countries gathered to soak in the pre-match atmosphere ahead of the highly anticipated showdown.
His appearance and playful comments quickly turned into a talking point across social media.
In a video that has since gone viral, Odumodublvck showered praise on Morocco, applauding the country’s warm hospitality, vibrant culture and welcoming environment.
While clearly enjoying his time in the North African nation, the rapper could not resist slipping in a cheeky request directed at the home supporters.
“The weather is amazing. The people are beautiful, the food is nourishing. I can go on and on, but Moroccans, I’m begging you, let Nigeria win, please,” ODUMODUBLVCK said, sparking laughter and cheers from the crowd.
The light-hearted appeal further heightened excitement around the semifinal fixture, underlining how AFCON continues to blend football with music and pop culture.
