Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy bid farewell in style, netting his 200th goal for the club in what was his final appearance, as the Foxes defeated fellow relegated side Ipswich Town 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Sunday in their Premier League clash.
Marking his 500th outing for Leicester exactly 13 years after joining from Fleetwood Town, the 38-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 28th minute.
Vardy made no mistake after James Justin surged from midfield and delivered a pinpoint pass, allowing him to slot the ball past goalkeeper Alex Palmer with composure.
Earlier, winger Kasey McAteer was denied by the post, but he eventually found the net in the 69th minute.
He hammered home Leicester’s second after Wilfred Ndidi set him up with a precise first-time pass.
With the win, Leicester sit 18th on the table with 25 points, while Ipswich remain 19th with 22.
