Renowned worship leader, Pastor William McDowell of Deeper Fellowship Church, based in Orlando, Florida, in the United States, has shared a dramatic testimony of survival following a harrowing accident involving a black bear.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, McDowell recounted that the incident occurred shortly after he dropped his children off at school.

“As I was praying while driving home,” he wrote, a massive black bear suddenly darted into the road right in front of his car. The impact was so swift that he had no time to brake or swerve. All of the vehicle’s airbags deployed, and the car was ultimately totaled .

Despite the severity of the crash, McDowell was miraculously unharmed. “It was the largest black bear I’ve ever seen… The craziest part is the bear ran off! I know for sure that this was a demonic attempt on my life, but IT FAILED!” he stated .

Highlighting the spiritual dimension of his close call, McDowell reflected, “Some don’t make it through situations like this… I’m grateful because it could have been so much worse” .

He also referenced a similar incident involving a colleague, stating that his friend Dr. Dharius Daniels was involved in what he described as another spiritual attack, but that “the Lord preserved him too” .

To reinforce his sense of divine protection, McDowell cited Psalms 34:7, “For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.”

He concluded his post with a plea to the broader community: “I encourage you to pray for your pastors, whoever they are. We need it.”
