The University of Lagos has announced that online registration for its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening will commence on Monday, July 28, 2025.
The registration is aimed at candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Abosede Wickliffe, and published on the university’s official website.
According to the statement, only candidates who selected UNILAG as their first choice institution during the 2025 UTME and scored 200 and above are eligible to apply.
“In addition to the UTME requirement, applicants must possess five credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’Level subjects, which must include English Language and Mathematics,” the statement read.
UNILAG also emphasized that only candidates who upload their O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal on or before September 12, 2025, will be considered for admission.
Furthermore, the institution warned that applicants below the age of 16 as of September 30, 2025, are not eligible to participate in the screening. It also added that failure to take part in the Post-UTME aptitude test will automatically disqualify candidates from admission.
The statement advised all prospective students to use personal and active email addresses during registration, as all communications will be directed to them via email.
In a clarification on re-admission, the university said: “Former students whose admissions were withdrawn due to poor academic standing or failure to register may reapply. However, such candidates must apply for a new programme different from the previous one.”
The university, however, maintained that expelled students are not eligible for readmission under any circumstance.
In a stern warning against drug abuse, the statement added, “The University of Lagos maintains a zero-tolerance policy for drug use. Any student who tests positive for drugs, either before or after admission, risks having their offer of admission revoked.”
The mock examination for the Post-UTME screening is scheduled to hold from August 25 to August 27, while the main online aptitude test will run from September 1 to September 5, 2025.
