Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Oleksandr Usyk following his triumphant performance against Britain’s Daniel Dubois.

Usyk secured a decisive fifth-round knockout victory at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday, claiming the title of undisputed heavyweight world champion.

The win not only preserved his unblemished professional record, now standing at 24 fights unbeaten, but also saw him seize the IBF belt from Dubois, adding it to his existing WBA, WBC, and WBO titles.

Reacting to the historic feat, President Zelensky took to his official Telegram channel to celebrate Usyk’s achievement.

“Oleksandr Usyk has done it again! An undisputed champion. A legend. One of our own,” he wrote.

The Ukrainian leader praised the boxing icon for consistently serving as a beacon of strength and resilience for the nation during challenging times.

“Thank you for stepping into each fight with Ukraine in your heart. Congratulations on the win, to you, to our country, and to everyone who cheered you on,” Zelensky emphasized.
