Tottenham’s Kolo Muani involved in car crash ahead Frankfurt UCL clash

Tottenham Hotspur forward, Randal Kolo Muani, was involved in a “minor” car accident on Tuesday but is reportedly fine, according to head coach Thomas Frank, and is expected to feature in Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The on-loan Paris Saint-Germain attacker took part in open training at Spurs’ Hotspur Way facility in Enfield.

However, social media images circulated showing Kolo Muani and teammate Wilson Odobert standing beside a black Ferrari that had sustained damage.

Frank later confirmed that the forward was unharmed and ready for the midweek fixture. Odobert, who was reportedly driving his own vehicle, stopped to assist his teammate, and the pair later traveled together to Stansted Airport.

“Everyone else involved in that accident was fine,” Frank said at a news conference. “It was a tyre blowing up, so, they are little bit delayed but they will land later tonight.”

Asked for more details, the Danish coach added, “They’re fine, it was on the way to the airport. I haven’t spoken to them personally yet. The first message is that they are fine and nothing happened, as I said the first time. They will fly out later and I fully expect both to be available for tomorrow.”

Spurs received further injury setbacks, with Frank revealing that Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven did not travel to Germany due to fitness issues.

“Pedro hasn’t travelled. Unfortunately he picked up a hamstring injury to be out for four weeks. Micky has not travelled. Minor thing. It’s possible he’s available for the weekend [against Manchester City],” Frank said, clarifying that Van de Ven’s “minor” problem was not hamstring-related, despite previous injury issues in that area during the 2024-25 campaign.

This situation marks another instance of Spurs’ domestic struggles this season, even as they perform strongly in European competition. Last week’s win over Borussia Dortmund provided a morale boost for Frank, who has faced growing fan frustration.

A victory in Frankfurt on Wednesday would secure Tottenham a direct path to the Champions League round of 16 through a top-eight finish, offering the Danish coach some reprieve amid Premier League difficulties.
