President Bola Tinubu officially decorated the acting Chief of Army Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, with the rank of Lieutenant General on Tuesday.
The brief ceremony was held in the President’s office complex at the State House, Abuja.
The President’s communications team released a statement saying, “President Tinubu decorates acting Chief of Army Staff, Oluyede as Lt General.”
Tinubu appointed Oluyede as the acting Chief of Army Staff last Wednesday, following the continued indisposition of his predecessor, Taoreed Lagbaja, who has been unable to fulfill his duties for several weeks.
