Arsenal icon, Thierry Henry, has sent a message of encouragement to new recruit Eberechi Eze, urging him to make an immediate impact at the Emirates.
The Gunners swooped in late to snatch Eze from under Tottenham’s noses, sealing an agreement with Crystal Palace last week to secure the midfielder’s signature.
Eze, who becomes Mikel Arteta’s seventh addition of the summer, is expected to play a key role in Arsenal’s push to finally reclaim the Premier League crown.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Henry couldn’t hide his excitement over the deal and delivered a heartfelt welcome to the new signing.
“First and foremost, welcome to the Arsenal,” Henry told Arsenal’s official website. “You don’t understand how happy we all are.
“We all know how much you wanted to play for The Arsenal, and wear the cannon at the Emirates. There you go – it’s not a dream anymore, it’s not a utopia. That has become reality. Make sure that you make it count.
“Remember, when I first arrived at the Arsenal, they told me that it is a club that has class, it’s a family club, and you got to fight no matter what.
