Super Lig: Galatasaray move closer to title after 2-0 win over Trabzonspor

Galatasaray tightened their grip on the Turkish Super Lig title race with a commanding 2-0 win over Trabzonspor on Saturday.

The breakthrough came in the 66th minute when defender Abdulkerim Bardakci rose highest to head home a corner, giving Galatasaray the lead.

Later in the 84th minute, Alvaro Morata sealed the victory by finishing off a well-placed pass from Yunus Akgun.

Galatasaray maintains unbeaten form
The result extended Galatasaray’s unbeaten run to five games and increased their tally to 86 points.

Trabzonspor, on the other hand, suffered consecutive defeats and remain on 46 points.

Looking ahead, Galatasaray will return to action at home against Kayserispor, where a single point would be enough to secure the championship. Trabzonspor will travel to face Bodrum FK.

Interestingly, both sides are set to clash once more on May 14 in Gaziantep, battling for the Turkish Cup crown.
