Fenerbahçe continued their strong start to the season with a 3-1 away victory over Gençlerbirliği in the fourth week of the Trendyol Süper Lig.

All three goals came in the first half at Eryaman Stadium, setting the tone for a commanding win.

Dorgeles Nene opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a close-range effort that deflected off Pereira before finding the net.

Youssef En-Nesyri then struck twice in quick succession, first with a deft touch from Brown’s low cross in the 35th minute, and again five minutes later when Oğuz Aydın’s delivery created chaos in the box, allowing the Moroccan striker to slot home for 3-0.

Gençlerbirliği responded after the interval, and in the 65th minute Goutas reduced the deficit.

His opportunistic finish came after goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic parried Thalisson’s header, but it proved only a consolation as Fenerbahçe comfortably saw out the match.

New signings Edson Álvarez and Dorgeles Nene both made their first starts for the club, with Nene marking his debut by scoring the opener.

Before kickoff, both teams took the field with a banner celebrating the 103rd anniversary of Turkey’s Victory Day on August 30. Fenerbahçe’s players also warmed up in specially designed commemorative shirts to honor the occasion.

With a game in hand, Fenerbahçe head into the international break on seven points, keeping pace with the early leaders.
