Super Falcons skipper, Rasheedat Ajibade, has declared that the team is fully prepared to face their challengers at the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Under the guidance of head coach Justine Madugu, the Nigerian side finds itself in Group B, where they are set to battle Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria for a place in the knockout rounds.
The Falcons, who have claimed the continental crown a record nine times, will begin their campaign against Tunisia at the Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
“For us, effort is everything. We’ll demonstrate what we’re capable of and continue to build on our existing strengths. We have an incredible group of talented players,” Ajibade said in a chat with CAFonline.
“We’re all excited to be here. We know it won’t be easy but we’re committed to showing up as our best selves.”
The team’s opening match is scheduled for Sunday, with kick-off set for 5pm.
