Some Super Eagles players have expressed their admiration and excitement following the Super Falcons’ stunning comeback victory against Morocco in the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Falcons, showcasing remarkable resilience and determination, overturned a two-goal deficit to beat host nation Morocco 3-2 in a thrilling finale at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Saturday night.

Moroccan stars Ghizlane Chebbak and Sanaa Mssoudy had put the home side 2-0 up in the first half, but Nigeria stormed back with goals from Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Jennifer Echegini to seal a historic 10th WAFCON title, further cementing their status as Africa’s most successful women’s football team.
