Super Eagles stars, Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi have been officially crowned champions of the 2025/2026 Portuguese Primeira Liga with FC Porto, following a narrow but decisive victory that confirmed their grip on the title.
The Dragons sealed the championship after a hard-fought 1–0 win over FC Alverca at the Estádio do Dragão, a result that ensured they could no longer be caught at the top of the table.
The victory sparked celebrations among players and supporters as Porto secured another domestic triumph on home soil.
Under the guidance of manager Francesco Farioli, Porto maintained consistent form throughout the season, combining defensive stability with efficient attacking play.
Their ability to grind out results in tight matches proved crucial in the title race.
The triumph was confirmed with two league games still remaining, highlighting Porto’s dominance across the campaign and their strong finish to the season.
Their early clinch of the title reflects a level of consistency that set them apart from their rivals.
For Zaidu Sanusi, the achievement marks his second league title with FC Porto, further strengthening his reputation within the squad.
The Nigerian left-back has been part of the club’s success story in recent years and continues to play an important role in their defensive setup.
Meanwhile, Terem Moffi celebrates his first major trophy with the Portuguese giants after joining on loan from OGC Nice in January.
The forward’s arrival added depth and attacking options to the squad, and he now ends the season with silverware in his first spell in Portuguese football.
The title also represents FC Porto’s 31st league crown, reinforcing their standing as one of Portugal’s most successful clubs, behind only SL Benfica in the all-time rankings. It adds another chapter to their long history of domestic dominance and European competitiveness.
