Genoa wrapped up their Serie A campaign with a commanding 3-1 victory over Bologna on Saturday, thanks to a standout performance from 18-year-old Lorenzo Venturino, who struck twice on his full debut.

Despite the loss, Bologna fans still had reasons to cheer, celebrating a commendable season highlighted by an Italian Cup triumph and qualification for the Europa League.

Bologna concluded the season in eighth place, while Genoa settled for 13th.

Vitinha opened the scoring for Genoa, and Venturino followed up with a dazzling display, netting a brace in the first half, his opener showcasing his skill as he weaved past multiple defenders.

Bologna responded in the second half through Riccardo Orsolini, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback.

Later in the day, AC Milan were set to face bottom-placed Monza, bringing an end to a lackluster season.

Earlier, thousands of Milan fans gathered outside the club’s headquarters in protest after the Rossoneri failed to secure European qualification and suffered defeat to Bologna in the cup final.
