Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has emphasized the importance of Fulham securing European football next season, following the club’s impressive showing in the Premier League last term.
Under the guidance of Marco Silva, Fulham recorded their best-ever finish in the English top flight, ending the campaign in a commendable eighth place.
Despite their remarkable run, the West London side narrowly missed out on continental qualification.
Reflecting on the setback, Iwobi believes it should fuel their ambition moving forward.
“What we achieved last season should be a stepping stone, a motivation, for us to achieve Europe now,” he told Sky Sports.
“I enjoyed this when I was at Arsenal, and the hunger is still there.
“We want to play at the highest level now and hopefully we can get to do this in the new season.”
