Saudi Arabian giants, Al-Hilal, have reportedly made an audacious attempt to sign Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen, with a staggering €120 million proposal over three years, as they gear up for next month’s FIFA Club World Cup.
The offer, reported by FootMercato, underlines Al-Hilal’s determination to secure the services of the prolific Nigerian forward, who enjoyed a sensational loan spell at Galatasaray.
Osimhen netted an incredible 36 goals in 40 matches, powering the Turkish giants to the league title. However, he is not expected to extend his stay in Turkey.
Napoli, who just clinched the Serie A title under new manager Antonio Conte, are not looking to keep Osimhen either.
With strong interest from several top European clubs, Al-Hilal are hoping to jump ahead in the race for his signature.
The Saudi side is eager to bolster their squad following their dethroning by Al-Ittihad in the league and are eyeing Osimhen to boost their Club World Cup chances.
In case their move for the Nigerian striker falls through, Al-Hilal are also exploring the possibility of landing Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese icon, currently at Al-Nassr, has hinted at a potential exit, making him a viable alternative target.
According to FootMercato, Juventus are also monitoring Osimhen closely. The Turin club has reportedly placed Dusan Vlahovic on the market and is unlikely to keep PSG loanee Randal Kolo Muani.
WHAT NEXT FOR VICTOR OSIMHEN?
The future of the 26-year-old forward remains uncertain, with heavy interest from Juventus, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
However, the Premier League clubs appear better positioned financially, particularly with Osimhen’s €75 million release clause.
While Juventus may struggle to match the financial firepower of their English counterparts, the allure of Serie A football could still sway the striker.
For now, his next destination remains a subject of intense speculation.
