Arsenal defender, William Saliba, has challenged his teammates to raise their game as the Gunners aim to finally claim the Premier League crown.
After finishing as runners-up for three consecutive seasons, narrowly trailing Manchester City in 2022-23 and 2023-24, and ending 10 points behind Liverpool last term, Arsenal are determined to go one step further this campaign.
Speaking to ESPN, Saliba promised to give his all to help Arsenal make fourth time lucky.
“Finishing second for three years in a row shows we’ve always fallen just short. Now, it’s a new season, and we must reflect on what we didn’t do well enough to win,” Saliba said.
“We started the season with a win, and of course, our goal is to lift the league trophy. We have to perform better than the past three seasons to achieve it.
“The new players who have joined us will certainly strengthen the squad, and I’m confident they will help us win trophies. With them, we are already stronger. Let’s see how far we can go.”
