Barely days to governorship elections, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship flag bearer in Rivers State, Sir Siminialaye Fubara has defected to Labour Party.

This was made known by the Rivers State Chairman of the Labour Party, Dienye Pepple, in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

It was noted that Fubara’s senatorial district has never produced a governor since the creation of the state.

Sim, as fondly called by Rivers people, will be voted for on March 11 on the platform of Labour Party.

According to the LP chairman in the state, “voting a riverine candidate in the person of Simimialayi Fubara from the South East of the state during the upcoming governorship poll ensures that the Labour Party and her members are defenders and ambassadors of the values that have set her Obidient movement party from all parties.”
