Music executive and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has shared his thoughts on friendship, personal value and solitude, giving insight into how he manages relationships and time alone.
In an interview with Jima Emmanuel, the producer reflected on how experience shapes people’s understanding of loyalty and consistency in relationships.
“With time, you get to know the people who can stick with you through thick and thin,” he said.
He also expressed his view that relationships should be reciprocal, where both sides derive value from each other.
“I believe every relationship is supposed to be beneficial for everyone involved. As much as they are in my life for something they will benefit from, I also like having them around for what I can benefit from too,” he stated.
Don Jazzy went further to describe usefulness as a key part of human existence, linking it to mutual value and contribution.
“If they cannot use you, then you are useless. Why are we here in this world? It is to be useful to people, and vice versa,” he said.
On the subject of loneliness, the music executive said he is comfortable being alone and does not struggle with isolation.
“I have never felt lonely before. I can talk to myself, I can be by myself. As long as I have my phone, internet, TV and food, I can stay in my room and not come out,” he added.
