Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has provided an update on the club’s latest signings, Marcus Rashford and Joan Garcia, ahead of their La Liga opener against Real Mallorca tomorrow.
The club has been working diligently to ensure both players are registered in time, and Laporta confirmed that they are now available for selection.
“If Flick wants, Joan Garcia and Rashford can play tomorrow,“ he told Mundo Deportivo.
According to reports, all necessary paperwork has been completed by Barcelona, and the club is now simply awaiting final approval from La Liga.
Laporta’s statement comes after a hectic few days for the Catalan side. La Liga had previously cleared the registration of Joan Garcia following the confirmation that Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury would sideline him for the long term.
In addition, Barcelona have benefited financially in recent days, receiving €11 million from Sporting for Francisco Trincao and extending Jules Kounde’s contract, moves that have strengthened the club’s budget.
