The successful rescue operation was disclosed on Wednesday, June 25, by the spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, SP Adewale Osifeso, in a statement released in Ibadan.

According to Osifeso, the salesgirls were taken late in the evening from the shop, but a swift and well-coordinated response from law enforcement, supported by local hunters and vigilante groups, led to their safe recovery.

“Immediately after they were found, the victims were taken for thorough medical examinations to ascertain their physical and mental well-being,” he added. “They have since been reunited with their families.”
