Peter Obi formally challenges presidential election

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 general elections, Peter Obi, has formally submitted a petition challenging the process which produced the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the President-elect.

Upon polling the highest number of votes and satisfying the required 25 per cent spread of votes, as well other legal requirements, the Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Tinubu as the winner of the election on Wednesday, March 1.
