PDP to inaugurate 2025 national convention committee September 2

The Peoples Democratic Party has announced that it will inaugurate its 2025 National Convention Organising Committee on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the party’s national headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, following the approval of the National Executive Committee.

According to the statement, the 110-member committee will be chaired by Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, while Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, will serve as Vice Chairman. Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has been appointed Secretary.

“The inauguration of the 2025 National Convention Organising Committee (Main Committee) will take place at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 2, 2025,” Ologunagba said.

He added that the party expects its members to remain united ahead of the convention, scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, November 16, 2025.

“The National Working Committee charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP to remain united, focused and continue to work together towards the success of the PDP 2025 Elective National Convention,” the statement read.

The convention is expected to shape the party’s strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
