Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock Church has strongly refuted claims that he brandished a firearm at an aggressive content creator, describing the viral accusation as a calculated “clickbait” ploy for financial gain.

The clergyman addressed the controversy moments before his Sunday sermon, broadcast live on the church’s YouTube channel.

Expressing distress over the allegation, Pastor Adefarasin revealed he had been inundated with concerned messages following the incident.

“This is not merely an attack; it is an organized strategy to make money through clickbait,” he stated, referencing the viral video that accused him of pointing a weapon.

The pastor categorically denied owning or carrying firearms, emphasizing his observance of the Sabbath during the alleged incident.

“The enticement of the enemy is always the love of money as the root of all evil. What they had to do with this is clickbait, to make more money,” he added.

In a firm rebuttal, Pastor Adefarasin clarified: “I was falsely accused of pointing a firearm at an aggressive content creator who came within personal distance. I do not have a pistol license. I do not carry a firearm. And I pointed no firearm at anybody.”

Concluding his address, the pastor reassured his congregation of his ministry’s dedication to peace, vowing not to engage in divisive rhetoric.

“We remain committed to our message of love and will not be drawn into hate speech,” he affirmed, as the church prepares legal action against the creators of the viral content.
