The Oyo State Government has announced the early closure of offices across all Ministries, Departments and Agencies to allow public servants participate fully in activities marking the grand finale of the state’s 50th anniversary celebration.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde, said all state government offices are expected to close by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
“The governor has approved the early closure of offices across all MDAs to enable public officers participate in the activities marking the grand finale of the Oyo@50 celebration,” Babatunde stated.
He added that heads of MDAs have been instructed to ensure strict adherence to the directive, while also putting in place skeletal services in essential and critical sectors to avoid disruption of key service.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, called for wide dissemination of the information to ensure public awareness and compliance across the state.
“This directive should be given the widest publicity to ensure that all concerned are properly informed and guided,” Oyelade said.
