The victory of Sen. Ademola Adeleke at the Osun governorship election has been affirmed by the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja.
According to Channels, the Court on Thursday dismissed the suit challenging the authenticity of Ademola Adeleke’s candidacy.
The suit was filed by a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dotun Babayemi in Osun State
The five-man panel led by Justice Amina Augie gave the judgment on grounds that the apex court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the appeal, as the plaintiff filed his appeal out of time.
The court ruled that Adeleke was validly elected at PDP primary election.
