Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, will play no part in Galatasaray’s first league outing of the season against Gaziantep.
The Turkish champions, led by manager Okan Buruk, travel to face the Falcons at the Gaziantep Stadium on Friday.
Osimhen only sealed a permanent move to Galatasaray from Serie A title holders Napoli last week and was officially unveiled to supporters before their friendly clash with Lazio.
The 26-year-old joined pre-season preparations later than most of his teammates and is still working towards full match fitness.
Last term, while on loan with the Yellow and Reds, the Nigerian star delivered a sensational campaign, netting 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 matches across all competitions, a tally that set the record for the most goals scored by a foreign player in a single Turkish season.
