Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, has been tipped to help Manchester United overcome their attacking problems if the Nigerian striker eventually completes a move to Old Trafford.
Turkish football pundit Yetiş Yönetci praised the Galatasaray forward’s quality, insisting that the Super Eagles star possesses the ability to thrive at almost any major European club.
“Victor Osimhen would be the cure for all of Manchester United’s woes,” Yönetci said.
Former Göztepe youth chief scout Burak Kural also agreed with the assessment, describing Osimhen as a player capable of competing at the highest level.
“Absolutely! There are very few teams in Europe that Osimhen couldn’t play for,” he said.
The comments followed Osimhen’s impressive start to the new campaign in Turkey.
The Nigeria international has scored four goals and registered one assist in his first two appearances for Galatasaray.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have endured a difficult opening to their Premier League campaign.
The Red Devils suffered a 2-0 defeat away to newly promoted Hull City, highlighting concerns over their attacking efficiency.
Osimhen has previously been linked with a move to United, although the club have yet to secure his signature.
His performances have also attracted support from former Manchester United players, including Patrice Evra.
Evra recently named Osimhen as his preferred signing for the club, arguing that United need a proven striker capable of making a difference across multiple competitions.
“Osimhen. I have all due respect to Galatasaray, the love he gets there and the kind of player he is,” Evra said.
“Man United need a proper striker. I have so much respect for the strikers at Man United, and sometimes Bryan Mbeumo. But back in the day, we had four amazing strikers, and if you want to compete in every competition, you need more strikers.
“But if I have to name one player, I’ll say Osimhen because I know he can make the difference.”
With Osimhen continuing to produce impressive numbers for Galatasaray and United looking for greater attacking firepower, speculation linking the Nigerian striker with a potential switch to Old Trafford is expected to continue.
