Napoli celebrated their Scudetto victory with a 1-0 win over Fiorentina in a funfair atmosphere, with Victor Osimhen having a penalty saved before scoring the winning goal.
After winning Serie A on Thursday after a 33-year drought, Luciano Spalletti’s team was met by a euphoric crowd at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Osimhen had a penalty kick in the second half saved by Pietro Terracciano, and he thought he had missed the Partenopei’s best chance for victory, but a foul on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia allowed him a chance to atone.
The game ended a goal to nil in favor of the home side.
Napoli will face Monza in their next league game over the weekend.
