Galatasaray president, Dursun Ozbek, has confirmed that Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, will remain at the club beyond the summer transfer window.
Osimhen, who was on loan from Napoli last season, played a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s successful campaign, helping the club secure both the league title and the domestic cup.
Despite receiving a lucrative €75 million offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, the Super Eagles striker reportedly turned down the move.
Speaking to Hurriyet, Ozbek emphasized the deep connection between Osimhen and the Galatasaray faithful, suggesting that the fans’ admiration could play a major role in keeping him at the club.
“Victor Osimhen is staying at Galatasaray; his affection will be the most important factor. Negotiations are ongoing.
“We hope to give you good news next week.”
Galatasaray supporters will now be hoping the club can finalize a deal that sees Osimhen remain in Istanbul on a permanent basis.
