Nollywood actor Kayode Peters’ dies in Canada

The Nigerian film industry, has been hit by another heartbreaking loss with the passing of renowned movie producer and actor, Kayode Peters, in Canada.

The unfortunate news was shared on Saturday by popular entertainment blogger, Cutie Juls, who confirmed the development in an Instagram post.

“Sad, kayode Peters, movie actor and producer passed away in Canada this morning. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the post read.

While the exact cause of his death remains unknown, tributes have begun pouring in for the celebrated filmmaker whose impact on Nollywood was significant.

Kayode Peters was fondly remembered for his comedic portrayal of Koko in the early 2000s sitcoms Twilight Zone and Flatmates.

He also made a name for himself through his creative work on stage plays and television series such as Extended Family, leaving a lasting mark on Nigeria’s modern theatre and TV landscape.
