Nobody can sack me from PDP — Wike

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike

The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has fired back at political opponents calling for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party, daring anyone to attempt removing him from the party.

Speaking during a media briefing in Abuja on Monday, the former Rivers State governor asserted his unwavering PDP membership despite recent tensions.

“I am still in PDP. I worked hard for the party. I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, Wike, you are not a member of the party. Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?” Wike challenged.

The minister’s defiant remarks come amid growing calls from some PDP factions for disciplinary action against him following his acceptance of a cabinet position in President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress-led administration.

Wike, known for his combative political style, emphasized his extensive contributions to the PDP’s growth over the years, suggesting his critics lacked the standing to question his membership.
