Nigerian international, Christantus Uche, put in a commanding display to earn the Man of the Match award as Getafe secured a 2-0 win over Celta Vigo in their LaLiga clash on Sunday night.
The Nigerian forward was at the heart of the Azulones’ triumph, playing a decisive role in both goals.
He set up Adrian Liso for the opener barely two minutes into the second half, before capping off his brilliant outing with a strike of his own in the 72nd minute to put the contest beyond reach.
Uche, 22, lasted the full 90 minutes and his contribution further underlined his growing importance to José Bordalás’ side.
Last season, the powerful attacker tallied four goals and six assists across 33 league games, and he has already begun this campaign in fine form.
The victory lifted Getafe to fourth place on the table, and the Madrid-based outfit will aim to sustain their momentum when they face Sevilla in their next outing.
